Being at the junction of the Boise river flowing into the Snake River, this can be a fantastic place to fish, but not so much to camp on the river. Well-kept and established camping is available off of the river for those who hunt during the fall and winter months. On the river there are campsites, but they are not well maintained and the fire pits have all but been destroyed. Some have benches and most have tables. However, those who fish will enjoy both night and day fishing along the river for bass, trout, crappie, and sturgeon. Depending on the time of year much of the area can be flooded or filled with Mosquitos. The on-river areas are non-motorized separated by a gate. If you are fishing with a lot of gear, be prepared to lug it, from the gate to the end is about a 1/4 mile.

Mike was so incredibly kind and friendly! You can tell he takes pride in keeping the grounds clean and orderly. 10 out of 10 would revisit this site or any campground he is in charge of! Great little spot to check out with beautiful views of the water as well!

This place is great. Grassy, clean, peaceful. Fishing and a cool trail that goes along the river. Mike, the host, does an AMAZING job keeping things tidy and accounted for.

Nice for cooler weather. Not enough shade trees in RV loop. Also, beware the ticks in the tall grass around the RV loop! Vehicle access to tent sites was banned a couple years back. So you have to park in a general parking area and hike in your tent and supplies several hundred feet down the blocked gravel road to six nice waterfront tent sites.

There is a money drop, a large tube with a slot, at the entrance. Envelopes are nearby at the info sign.
