I was referred to Sullivan physical therapy by both my chiropractor and physician for neck pain I have been experiencing for several months. After having an appointment booked for over 3 months they call me the day before my appointment to tell me that they cannot help me with what I am needing. I completely understand that this apparently is not their specialty anymore, but how could no one have even looked at my referral until the day before my appointment? They had 3 months to look at it!

You will be waiting forever just to get a call back for an appointment. It’s been almost over a month now and no appointment. How much longer do I have to wait just to schedule an appointment?

The staff and physical therapist, Beverly Lopez, I've interacted with at Sullivan Physical Therapy are wonderful. The front desk staff are friendly, polite, and helpful in answering questions. The people make the interactions and environment much more enjoyable and pleasant than a "typical" healthcare provider's office, and the care and help from the PTs is top-notch. Highly recommend!

Unlike prior physical therapists, I have received much more than exercises. Nutritional advice, relaxation methods, suggestions on supplements, physical exams and strengthening exercises all have played a part in the thorough and complete care provided by Sullivan Physical Therapy. So worth the money.

Questions & Answers

Do I need a referral from a doctor to go to your facility? If so, what kind of doctor?

In the state of Texas, a physical therapist can not deliver treatment without a prescription from a physician, dentist, chiropractor, podiatrists, physician assistant, and/or advanced nurse practitioner. You may have your health care practitioner's office fax a prescription to our clinic prior to your appointment or you may bring it with you on the day of your first appointment. If your healthcare provider needs more information, please contact our office and we will send them an informational packet about our clinic and women's and men's health physical therapy.

Same one for all appointments! I've been going there for a few months and have seen the same therapist every time. It's a good place, I recommend it!

How often do people usually come to PT for diastasis recti?

Christina M | Oct 4, 2018

We normally see patients once a week for 4 to 6 weeks. The first appointment will include an evaluation, education and exercises to perform at home. The following appointments can include manual therapy to address scar tissue and muscle tension. In addition, patients will be given exercises to focus on decrease strength and endurance. Our goal is to provide our patients with a program they can continue at home.
