I learned so many things about myself at Hopeway. While I was only there a few weeks, I do believe I got the most out of it and I was very pleased with my treatment program.

HopeWay changed my life. It's been almost four years since I was admitted and the skills I learned at HopeWay have been invaluable to me. I will be forever grateful to the wonderful staff and each and every therapist (especially Erin!), for the impact they've had on my life.

First - it takes a week for someone to call you back when you call them multiple times . Don’t be in need if you want this place . This is what’s wrong with our mental health system . An hour call and intake with the person who needs help and they deny them based on what ? An hour conversation . Great job ! Way to go for the advancement of mental health . Oh funny part is I thought you had to pay for this place ? Even if I’m paying it doesn’t matter because they are so well off they don’t need your money or offer help to those in need of mental health . Thumbs up for the broken system we live in

If you are a slightly attractive female that needs help for mental health or addiction issues….go elsewhere. I went to Hopeway for approximately 6-7 weeks. I needed help, obviously….but ended up being manipulated by an employee that preyed on the vulnerable women there. I was contacted by the state of NC regarding the employee that took advantage of numerous women (aka PATIENTS). I couldn’t deal with it at the time, so I didn’t speak to them and hung up because I didn’t want to rehash it at the time. It was too much to deal with. Plus, conveniently, it’s easy to be classified as “mentally unstable” if you decide to come forward and say something. This is all on file, it’s accessible to the public….just google it. I ended up homeless and living out of my car after leaving this facility….. I edited this post, because I initially stated that Hopeway “ruined my life”. That’s entirely false. Many of my own poor choices contributed to what happened, however, I went there for help and was obviously vulnerable….as most women and men there are. You are there for help and NOT there to be seduced by the employees. This was 4 years ago and I’m fine now…. I just wanted this to be posted because I know I’m not the only person this has happened to. I know that for a fact.

Our mission is to provide access to as many people as we can. While we do not take medicaid, we do have a financial assistance program. Please call the admissions office to talk with someone further about your specific situation.
HopeWay has always accepted insurance from commercial carriers. We currently have in-network contracts with BCBS, Magellen, CBHA, and Cigna Behavioral Health.
The waitlist for the Residential Program changes frequently. It is best to contact the admissions team by calling 980-859-2106 to get the most up-to-date information.
Yes, unless youre in residential. If so, they take it for the first 10 days, and then you only get your phone from 4-10 (those hours may be wrong, I never did res, but that's what I heard from people who did)
Medicare does not pay for the full continuum of care that HopeWay offers. The same is true of NC Medicaid. Additionally, for our Veteran/military population, TriCare does not cover adult psychiatric residential services.
We have 36 private bedrooms with private bathrooms. TVs are located in the common areas (two living rooms and a game room) on the residential unit.
No.
Cost varies for each client. We encourage anyone inquiring to contact our Admissions Team at 980-859-2106 to discuss your situation.
