Was able to make an appointment to get a copy of my daughter's social security card after the post office lost it very quickly. They were very polite on the phone and in person. Was in and out in about 5 minutes. I drove 4 hours to this location because the social security office in Raleigh is trash and doesn't call back to schedule an appointment. Worth the trip.
I just received a call "from Social Security office". Do you do that? Or is this a fake caller? They said someone has used my number. I choose to think it's a ruse. Am I right? Or do you really make such notifications?

That is the address of the social security office in Hendersonville where I went to conduct some business. Closed to face to face interviews. Doesnt answer your question though. Call the number on the Social Security web page not the one they called you from. Sounds a little sketchy to me.
This is absolutely ridiculous how hard it is to contact and set up an appointment at the social security administration office and that they want most things done over the phone. This is making identity theft/fraud so much easier and getting your social security card even more difficult! Why is the corona virus causing so many issues when it Isa no different than any of the other major diseases that are out there?
