Good scenery overall, with parking all around the lake. Good for fishing, boating, playground, outdoor cooking and more! Could use more BBQ grills and pavilions for shade, but I've had literally dozens of memories here over the last 30+ years!

Nice place for the kids to play. All though I would never leave my children alone at the park so, be safe. The world 🌎 is crazy. SUNDAY NIGHT ISN'T A GOOD TIME TO HAVE FAMILY NIGHT AT THE CARTER LAKE PARK. These pictures was taken during the day on a week day.

Nice little park area, the view is nice, lots of people come here to fish. Best times are late evening after sundown and early in the morning before sunrise. Lots of catfish out there. Had a few bites while we were there fishing, but we were out in the afternoon. There's a park area nearby that's a great place to take the kids. There's also a parking lot across the street from the shoreline that's a nice place to park to either go for a walk or go fishing.

All the docks on the east side of the leg or private. You can take the main drive along the lake you will see several points where you can enter the lake. There's one close to Abbott drive in a second one at the entrance to Carter lake off of 16th Street. I hope this helps you sorry it took me so long to answer
