Need better selection and fresher food. They have the same stuff every time. I think the parents would be upset if they went in there and knew their kids were eating the stuff from there. I was required to go there once a week for kids snacks for the boys and girls club. Not the staffs fault that work there. It’s sad there are people with so much money they could donate to this place for health and wellness but don’t.

I would suggest you contact social services in your county. If they cannot answer your questions the call the Catawba County Social services and they will answer your questions.
Second Harvest is not open to the public directly. You must be with an agency to shop there. Greater Hickory Cooperative Christian Ministry may be able to help you. We are open Monday & Wednesday 8am - 4:30 pm, Tuesday and Thursday 8am - 6 pm, and Friday 8am - 12 pm. We will be closed Monday January 21st for Martin Luther King Jr holiday.
Good question. Went by once in June and again this week and couldn't get in the building.
