We found this hidden gem while looking for things to do in Hickory as we are getting married in the area next year! Our server was Emory and he was amazing. He was charming and helpful, and he was extremely knowledgeable about the building and the menu! He let us know what all the guest favorites were as well as his own personal recommendations! The crab and artichoke dip was just too delicious, and the portion was very generous! Our steaks were cooking absolutely perfectly, and we finished off with some red velvet truffle dough which was like heaven in my mouth. We mentioned to Emory that we were looking into Duke’s for our rehearsal dinner and he was kind enough to give us a peep tour of the building and all the event rooms they have!! He went above and beyond and just absolutely made our night. We will be back again next time we are hosting the area and will request him as our server. Kelsey, another member of the staff, was also very kind! She was running food and checking on guests and stopped and made a point to compliment my headband which just made my night! You HAVE to come to dukes for a date night dinner if you’re in the area. Best decision we have ever made!

Amazing! My wife and I had dinner Saturday night here for the first time. We had never heard of this establishment. To our surprise it's one of North Carolina's best kept secrets. The pianist was playing beautifully in the softly lit dining room. Setting a turn of the century vibe. We started with lobster and artichokes as an appetizer. Then I enjoyed beef tenderloin and my wife the duck. Both meals were excellent. My filet was the best I've ever eaten. It was so tender you could cut it with a fork. The cheesecake was delectable. Which gave the meal a proper finale. The moment we entered the restaurant we were greeted by everyone. Our server was a gentleman named Emory. He was outstanding. Giving us complete details regarding the menu and the many questions we asked. He went above and beyond making our evening in Hickory outstanding. Perfect! We will be returning with friends.
