Close to closing and they forgot the main portion of my meal. So I paid 11 dollars for a stale biscuit and one some mashed potato’s. They can refund my meal cost but I still don’t have a filling dinner. Was supposed to be chicken noodle deep dish. Surly doesn’t live up to its name.

Service is either slow or non-existent. Took at least 10 minutes to be seated as nobody was checking on the front of the house. After we got our drinks and we said we needed just a minute, we folded up our menus and proceeded to wait another fifteen, with the server passing us by several times. We finally had to ask if we could possibly place our order. Once we did finally get our food after another fairly substantial wait, items were missing or needed to be replaced. All that said, the food was good, and it is difficult to know whether to blame the wait staff or the lack of personnel. There’s only so much you can do if management can’t get the manpower they need. Overall not a great experience, but the food was good. Just can’t give more stars for subpar performance regardless of the cause.

The servers are very friendly and professional. Great variety on the menu. I just wish I could order lunch and dinner items at breakfast time. I'm not really a breakfast person. On that note, for you breakfasty folks, they do make really good breakfast stuff. Just removed a star after today's (12/29/2021) visit. Ordered the chopped steak with mushrooms and onions. Got a frozen hamburger patty with about 4 pieces of mushroom and minimal onions. When I showed the server the patty she said, "that's not chopped steak" and took it back to the kitchen. Then came back out with the same exact thing! Guess I'll stick to the pot roast.

I must say I did not like it 😔 my waitress was really nice though but the food was not something I liked. I ordered an omelet with pancakes. Pancakes were hard and the omelet wasn’t tasteful. I did however love the cinnamon biscuits (I do believe they are called that). Oh my, it was so good. Yea but it’s a no for me.
