Their Summer Camp program is $215/week. No meals included, just a snack. Also, they have you register in advance online and you have to pay $25/wk which is $275 for 11 weeks. If you do the math to get a lower rate as a member, there is absolutely no savings as a membership. If you want to cancel Summer camp and the deposit you paid they will not give it back to you. I can understand if it were the last minute prior to school being out but wanting to cancel 6 weeks in advance, they feel entitled to keep your deposit. Now, if a meal was included then I could be more understanding about they keeping the deposit since they would've need to purchase in advance for the number of reservations. They also won't let you transfer the deposit to another YMCA location. I guess because they feel entitled to keep it just because they can is absolutely unethical. I will never walk into another YMCA facility ever again! YMCA that I remember never practiced business like now.

Thanks Melinda… yes the indoor pool is heated. We usually keep the temp around 84 warmer months and increase a couple of degrees in the cooler months. As part of joining the Charlotte Avenue Y, you also have access to our other 10 facility branches. We also have reciprocal membership with Charlotte and Gaston Y’s.

Yes the director of the pool called me at 8:30 pm to tell our aquatic classes. From what I understand it's because of the governor's state of emergency. Any place that deals with a 100 people or more it's to close. Because of health and safety of staff and patrons due to touching equipment, doors etc.

Yes we do. Sliver Sneakers is a membership that her supplemental insurance pays for. She can do like any member, take classes, swim, use the fitness center.
