Too much tree trimming, not enough shade on benches. Removal of most bbq units/areas makes outings an extra hassle in packing back & forth with a dirty outdoor grill and waiting for it to cool down enough to bring home. The city is slowly ruining the park, and is rumored to be making the rules EVEN WORSE for the regular citizen in the name of not stepping up and running roughshod over the presence in the park that causes the majority of the issues. Over a year later and the city hasn't deigned to repair the things they've damaged in the park. On top of that they're allowing long-term camping smack in the middle of walking trails and family areas. I don't begrudge a person needing to stake an outdoor home base, but blocking public access is just a ridiculous thing to allow.

Nice place to relax. Just sit and watch the water flow by. Unfortunately, many homeless hang out there. Most won't bother you but if you want a cigarette or spare change. I did not know there was such a thing as spare change these days. …

Great place to put your boat in or for quick fishing. There is tons of parking spots and a bathroom.

Nice park in middle of town. River access with boat launch. Restrooms and disability access.
