This is where you want to park if you are going to explore Wharton Forrest. There is a map that details all the trails. You can hike, bike, fish, and canoe here. Be prepared because there is a lot to offer. You do not have to pay to enter this area. Be sure you wear proper clothing and plan a trip ahead. You can get lost and Verizon cell service can be spotty at time on certain trials.

I don't think there are any restrictions, but there are historic sites there and I would suggest that you speak to the Ranger in the ranger's office about removing any articles from the park that you may find.
The Atsion cabins open April 1 through October 31 and book up quickly. There are nine furnished cabins located on Atsion Lake with screened porch, fireplace, outdoor campfire rings, refrigerator, hot and cold running water, bathroom with toilet and shower; single beds. Cabin #6 contains 2 bunks. All cabins are designed for people with disabilities. Five cabins accommodate four people; three cabins accommodate six people; one cabin accommodates eight people.
