Not good enough for what you pay. They used to be much better than this years ago. Unfortunately jade palace isn't the same restaurant it was in the 2000s. 2 years into the pandemic, they've opened up only to takeout and they said there was an issue with their refrigeration (?!), the chicken was dry and the seafood chowder had literally 3 shrimp and was mostly tofu. How can you mess up chicken and broccoli? Go elsewhere until they get back to what they used to be, if ever

If you are a person away from home many years looking for a warm place to enjoy Chinese cuisine with someone important to you, you should go to Jade Palace. I don’t know how the owner managed to remember me and remember what I used to order. It has been 5 years now since the first time I visited. Most importantly, I strongly believe the owner have quality control the food to ensure the best dining experience for my every visit. There is no place like Jade Palace in RTP and Chapel Hill. It’s hard to find a restaurant that keeps Chinese menu authentic. The chef CAN COOK! The serving has been amazing and being able to customize to your taste. Even though I moved far away from Carboro, I still come back for food whenever I have a chance.
