There are fishing boat guides in the area. I would suggest if you want to have a relaxing time fishing go pass Harry's to the Old River public landing where you can relax on the bank in the shade and fish or put in a small boat.

Yes they have a swimming area. I've been swimming there for 40 yrs and the gators are out there but I feel safe. Jus use common since and you'll have a great time
