My wife and I have lived here at the Duke of Charleston apartments for about a year now. It’s a decent community but it has some issues that I hope get sorted out. We will be moving in a few months due to military orders, and we are a little relieved. Pros: Quick maintenance Polite property managers Decent floor plans Free coffee Friendly neighbors Complaints are always resolved quickly Cons: Unnecessary fees and fines Rent does not reflect quality I will happily fix this review and rating as the problems get ironed out!

I live here. The construction is ok, the main woman in the front office is...a challenge, at best, and just like everywhere else in the area at the moment, it is crazy overpriced and they nickel and dime you on EVERYTHING. This place is brand new, we are the first tenants, and our shower was leaking into our closet; our neighbor's shower was also leaking, into their apartment and into ours, and it took multiple days to fix. The apartments come pre-installed with internet, router in the closet-ours didn't work, which also took days to fix. We have a 1 bedroom/1 bathroom apt with a garage, and it's costing us almost $1700/mo. And no, that's not with any utilities or anything special included. Granted, there is a fitness center and a pool, but we're working all the time to afford the rent so we really don't have time to enjoy the amenities. Oh, and they do have valet trash service, but whatever you do, don't fill the can too full or leave it out too long or they'll fine you. 🤨🤔

Just want to say that I have been a resident since December of 2021. This has been by far the experience I have had as a renter. The staff is always attentive and ready to tackle any question or issue I have ever had. Maintenance staff is always handling any requests promptly and making sure there isn’t anything else needed in the process.

I’ve loved watching the community here at the Duke grow over the last few months of living here. It’s a beautiful property and the staff, both office and maintenance, are helpful with any issues that arise.

The whole community is not smoke free but there is no smoking in your apartment.
Parking is a first come 1st serve basis however you can park in front of your own unit. All parking is security enclosed with a secured gate.. And they give you a security card to pass through the gate if you're a renter.
Yes, a full-size washer and dryer are included with all of our floor plans.
Water, valet trash, and pest control utilities are set up and billed through the community. Residents are responsible for setting up electricity and cable/internet. Contact our onsite team for more information!
