New to the Columbia area and I have been apartment searching for a few months now. I saw that The Cooper was going through renovations and stopped in for a tour. I met with Kristin, the property manager, and she was so nice! She answered all my questions and made me feel extremely welcome. All the staff is very friendly and the property is very well taken care of.

I moved in my apartment on April 8 2022. I week after move in they threatened to evict me saying I didn't pay all my move in fees but they gave me the keys. They then tried over charging me $300 for a refurbishment fee when the fee was actually $50. Every time I tried to pay them the price kept going up an up for this an that. So once we had our hearing the judge ruled on my favor finding the cooper at fault. That same day the left a note on my door wanting me out in the next 7 days. It's alot of discrimination against my color of race. Save your self the headache an find a better place. I have no vehicle so I depend on the washers and dryers out here as stated during move in. On my floor the laundry room isn't even finished on the second floor the washer and dryer doesn't even work. We don't have access to our pool nor the elevators. It's alot of bugs when your walking threw the apartment complex. They don't care about their residents all they want to do is over charge thinking no one will notice and file evictions on you making you not eligible somewhere else. I wish I never moved here. It has been nothing but a headache since day one ! **** Update new month and they still over billing me steady filing eviction for there wrong doing . ** I had a water leak and they told me it wasn’t a emergency

I am a current resident of the Cooper and have thoroughly enjoyed it! The staff and management are wonderful people who are doing their best to build an airplane while already in flight. I have some cockroach friends, but there isn’t a single apartment complex in South Carolina that doesn’t have these. Very grateful.
