I went to this museum about 6 years ago. Totally worth it, i visited again and it was still good. I hope no damages will get from hurricane Ian!

Our family got in free with our ASTC pass. Everyone (adults, teen and elementary kiddos) found the museum interesting and engaging. There were several hands on activities. The staff in the gift shop/ticket counter were very friendly. We would definitely recommend this museum to others visiting the Martinsville area.

Awesome day!! The staff was absolutely fabulous, made sure we didn't have any questions and knew where everything was. They were so very sweet. We had a great time! I really love that the things that are out in the open are safe for small hands to touch, because, you know, kids like to touch everything. We will be going back regularly

This place is awesome! Learned so much and was a great stop to stretch our legs while traveling. Also a wonderful spot for educational purposes while homeschooling our daughter. Would definitely go back.

Hi, Cynthia! In lieu of hosting the Dragon Festival this year, the museum is hosting a new event called Bonez & Booz on Saturday, October 29, 2022 from 4 to 10pm. It will incorporate some similar elements that Dragon Festival offered, such as fire performances, magic shows, stilt walkers, carnival games, food trucks, a beer garden, live music, and more, but without the dragon theme. If you're interested in attending, more info can be found at www.vmnh.net/events/bonez-and-booz!
I'm not sure, this was the first time I had ever visited there. The dinosaur exhibit was for Friday and Saturday only.
Have you tried calling or looking online?
Hi, Jessica! We do have admission rates of $10 for adults ages 18-59 and $5 for children and youth ages 3-17 and seniors 60+. Admission is free for children under 3 and museum members.
Hello! We believe you are referring to the "Strengthening Families" program offered by Piedmont Community Services. The museum offers classroom space for this program, but Piedmont Community Services instructs and schedules the program. We suggest contacting PCS directly for scheduling information. Contact numbers can be found at www.piedmontcsb.org/pcs2018/ContactUs.html. Thank you for your inquiry!
There are a lot of dinosaur exhibits and interactive fossil digs along with a lot of other fun stuff. Seeing Big Al up close was a huge bonus for me. On the main floor you can even watch paleontologists working in a separate room.
It's a great museum it is small but it has well made exhibits. There is also an active archaeology lab that you can look into and view with their working on. I believe the cost was 6 or $7 per person. It was not a lot for what you got to see. I thoroughly enjoyed going to it.
Adults are 7 a piece and I think kids are 5
