They do replace the HDMI ports on consoles. Pretty much any port on any device as long as a part to replace it with can be found.

You cannot get an original Apple screen without going direct through Apple, or a refurbishment process, even then some parts of the LCD assembly are aftermarket. Anybody telling you otherwise is giving you false information.
