Steeped in Durham Co. history this club is a true gem. Founded already before WW II, then establishing the first skeet and trap fields in the postwar years in a different location (where IBM Disc Golf is today at Cornwallis and S. Miami. DCWC actually built the lake that is still there today) the club moved here in the early 60s with help from IBM when RTP was established and IBM began building it's site. Many options for clays sports and range shooting. Very high focus on safety and training. Members have to go through a rigorous safety training and re-certify annually. This club should be a Durham Co. heritage site.

This place and the staff are absolutely amazing. Centered on safety and respect for all weapons used. I went to an archery tournament and the course was magnificent. Very challenging but fair for all skill levels and fun to shoot. They've got a full skeet/trap range and a good pistol range as well. I highly recommend you give them a try. Sincerely, Coach Matt. Larry, It does not appear to be a named stream. It doesn't even show in GIS. Greg
DCWC is a membership driven club, not an open public range. It requires certification and proof of skills and safety to join. Working members (you have to join a committee and serve twice a year for a half day) can shoot during hours 7 days a week. Non-member guests or non-working members can shoot on Sat. and Sun. during open hours. Cost of a membership and cost to shoot at DCWC is the lowest I know in the nation.
You can go on Saturdays 11-3 or Sundays 1-5 (public hours). You would pay per round ($8 for 25 shots of trap or skeet). The club does not rent out firearms so you would need to bring your own.
Absolutely.
Can't shoot any center fire rifles here. Only pistols and rimfire. Also, to use that particular range you have to be a member.
Check website, there is a Membership Process, http://dcwc.info/join/
Club rules are here: http://dcwc.info/info/safety-rules/ The pistol range has very strict rules and requires a live fire certification before members are granted privileges.
We have a program called "women on target" for women to get together and shoot!
Contact the club's website.
yes weekends are open to public, there is a guest skeet range. don't recall the specifics on children, sorry.
