Buyer Beware!!! This place is a scam!!! I recently went on a family camping trip here. We rented more spots than we used, but paid for them all. When we arrived, every fire pit was overflowing with ashes, but we just dealt with that to try to enjoy our weekend. The next day, the park ranger came over accusing us of riding bikes and motorcycles through other campsites. None of us had a bike or a motorcycle. We cleaned every campsite and left each area cleaner than it was when we got there, and then they sent us a $255 dollar ticket to Kansas. They know that it would cost us more to drive back to Arkansas, hire a lawyer, and prove them wrong, so all we can do is pay. THIS IS A SCAM!!!

Awesome place to go river rafting or canoeing with family. You need to watch out for the water current. Phone Network will be none or less, so be prepared accordingly.

A serene, peaceful, and beautiful place to camp out. A good place to decompress. It's a primitive campground. No showers or electricity but there are restrooms and water. Some of the campsites are made by reservation and some are available on a first come first serve basis. I recommend reserving the campsite ahead of time. Their is a horse camp here. You can go horseback riding on the Old River Trail in the summertime when the river is lower. This area of the river is only high enough to float in the spring. Near the campsites is a good summer swimming hole. The bluffs are very picturesque with vivid contrasting colors. From here you can also go hiking on the Buffalo River Trails.

Great camp site. Right on the Buffalo River with amazing views. It gets windy there based on the geography so be prepared. There is no cell signal which I hope stays that way. Recommend this place if you are looking to get away.

As far as I know... If you leave no sign, no one cares.
There's also campsites at Kyle's landing, about 15 min away from Steel Creek
Not down at the campground. You have to go up a bit before getting service. I have T-Mobile.
About 11 miles took us 5 hours but we also stopped for lunch and did a few hikes
I've used buffalo river canoes and buffalo outdoor center and they've both been awesome each time.
I believe it's was 2 per campsite
Still a very nice camp in the winter and somewhat less busy, with it's growing popularity.
Yes with a leash
