Nice people, great service, very helpful people.

The Library was recently reconfigured with additional meeting spaces and 2 modern restrooms. It's a real treasure to have a place like this in the city.

I enjoy this library for our family. Kids love their collection. Prior to covid they had lots for kids to participate it. Especially over summer months. Only problem with adult area is you see alot of homeless people in library hanging around for LONG, LONG, LONG periods of time. Then their were issues with bathrooms not being available to public. Needs better management of these issues. Bathrooms should be available to people who are using the LIBRARY with a key and id system. As far as the lottering goes they need to address this issue because it does bring the morale of this place down. Hopefully after the covid re-opening the library used that time to plan of not having the same standards as before but better with public safety and public health in mind.

Hello, Shekirah, so sorry for not responding sooner to your question. Yes, there are number of books by Eric Jerome Dickey in both book and audiobook format at Martin Library. Drop by to see what is available at Martin or place "on hold" using your library card by accessing our catalog at yorklibraries.org. Thank you so much for your inquiry.
There are MANY programs appropriate for 3 year olds scheduled for the summer. Stop by the library to pick up a SummerQuest program guide.
We apologize for the inconvenience during this time when our members do not have access to our computer labs because of building renovations. We will be announcing to the public as soon as we complete our upgrade. We hope you will be pleased with the changes.

Thank you, Tera for your question. I checked with the staff at Martin Library and, unfortunately, the audio books in the collection are on CDs and not available on MP3 players. However, through the Axis 360 app, you can download or stream York County Libraries’ digital collection of eBooks and Audio Books. Learn more about e-audio books under Digital materials at https://www.yorklibraries.org/library-services-programs/other-book-formats/
Yes, Fred, copying machines are available to the public and the cost is .25 per page for black and white.
Hello Mr. MacGillivray, we are not able to locate any books of poetry from author William Towe in the collections we have in York County Libraries or, more broadly, in Access Pennsylvania Libraries. However, I encourage you to make an inquiry with the York County History Center. You can access their library services through their website: https://www.yorkhistorycenter.org/library/genealogy-services Wishing you success in your research!
Danielle, aLthough Martin Library does not have a public 3D printer right now we are looking into different technologies to invest in for the future. Thank you so much for letting us know of your interest!”
Demetrius, thank you for your inquiry. Outgoing faxes are $1 a page with the cover page being free. Incoming faxes are 50 cents a page. We hope this information is helpful to you.
Hi there. All of our job openings across York County Libraries are on our website. http://jobs.yorklibraries.org will take you there. Sorry you cannot click on this link. Google doesn't allow us to share live links. :-)

It is free to obtain a library card at YCL. You may fill out an application on line or visit any one of our 13 libraries. The Hamilton Soundtrack may be found on Hoopla which is freely accessed through YCL and our libraries contain various materials on Alexander Hamilton. If you have a particular book or dvd you are interested in we can certainly check to see if we have it for you. You may search our catalog and if we do not have a particular item you are searching for, please check with our ILL department which can assist you. Thank you for contacting YCL
I think that would be a complaint for Amazon not YCL.
All of the York County Libraries off three ways to borrow ebooks: 1) Axis 360, 2) Hoopla and 3) ComicsPlus. On our website, hover over "What can I do?" and then choose "ebooks". That page can get you started.
No. The closest public restroom is in McDonald's on George Street
Best way to find an answer to that is to call and ask them since most of the time questions here are answered by the community instead of someone at the library.
You can borrow or "check out" and download our ebooks, audiobooks, movies or TV shows available through one of our subscription services from your phone. It's free from our website. Sorry Google isn't allowing us to post URLs here. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer self-checkout in the library for physical library items. We're hoping this will change in the future, but as of June 2018, it is not a supported feature of our Integrated Library System. Sorry
Hi Dawn: Martin Library got its name from Mr. Milton Martin a York carriage maker. Mr. Martin set aside money in his will in the early 1900's to create a library "for the people of York". Library doors first opened on Halloween in 1935. You can learn about our history by stopping at the library's Information Services Desk and asking more questions!
Check the York County Library's online system: http://york.sparkpa.org/eg/opac/home If you search on there you should be able to see if the system owns what you are looking for.
Martin Library opens from 9am to 8pm mon-fri. Sat 9-5:30 and Sun 1-5:30.
