so i went in cause i thought i had strep or tonsillitis. when i called to ask about the wait, the lady on the phone literally said “it’s not too long but the staff here aren’t that quick at all”. i get in about an hour later which isn’t too bad, but when i got my temp taken (i told them the past few days it’s jumped from the 99’s to the 100’s) they didn’t even put it under my tongue they stabbed my gums besides my tongue, never checked my heart or my lungs. and when the doctor came in to give my diagnosis she was very confusing about her delivery. i come from a family of nurses, i’ve been to plenty of doctors, this was the first time i felt like i couldn’t get a clear answer about what was wrong with me. made it seem like i had covid but then said i didn’t, said it was a viral thing, then on the paper it said upper respiratory infection? highly confusing experience i should’ve went to my normal doctor.

The COVID-19 rapid antigen test generally provides results during your visit. Depending on your results and our health care professional’s evaluation of your symptoms, a COVID-19 send-out PCR lab test may also be conducted to provide a more accurate diagnosis (currently 2-3 days). Hope this helps!

MedExpress is offering COVID-19 evaluations and testing at designated centers to help support our local communities' health care needs amid the pandemic. In order to ensure individuals receive the highest-quality care and treatment, all individuals seeking care at MedExpress for known or suspected COVID-19 cases will receive an examination by a MedExpress health care professional who will determine if testing is needed and which testing method may be most appropriate, including rapid antigen and laboratory send-out PCR COVID-19 testing. Please note that for the most accurate COVID-19 test results, the CDC and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) recommend that individuals who are not showing symptoms, but who have had close contact with an individual who has tested positively for COVID-19, wait five to seven days after the known exposure to get a COVID-19 test. Additionally, the CDC and AAFP recommend self-quarantining for 14 days after a known exposure to COVID-19, even if no symptoms are present.
