Freshest, most delicious seafood! ❤❤❤

This place was much better when you would order at the counter. The waitress/waiter staff was unpleasant. I understand Covid changed things, but the serving staff needs some work. Food was amazing as always.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. They added fried pickles to their menu, and they were amazing! This was also my grandpas (RIP) favorite restaurant so it’s a sentimental place for me ♥️ Their food is phenomenal along with their service!!

We used to love this place, but food lately has been very greasy. For kids who may not love fish, there are chicken options but having a sauce to dip in would be wonderful besides a teaspoon of ranch. There is no air/ac and fans aren't sufficient for air movement in the front or back of the restaurant. There is seating outside, weather dependent.

Busy, you talk or listen to music and then your food arrives.

Thanks to David and Giorgio who gave great answers. If there is ever a wait, it is very short as we prepare the tables for the next guests. Hope to see you soon.
The Restaurants (Westbrook & New Haven) that have waitress service will have around 50% of our indoor seating starting Wednesday June 17th. The Madison restaurant, especially in Spring & Summer and early Fall- has been primarily a Picnic Area Restaurant and Take-Out. From what we are hearing from our customers, we are going to stick with our current procedures for the time being in Madison. We literally would get very few seats- with proper social separation- and then most likely would not be able to continue to run our curbside takeout and also hostess seating in the Picnic Table Area. Right now our small dining room is being used to stage all of the food being brought out to cars and also being delivered to the Picnic Tables. We are constantly reevaluating what we are doing- so the best source of updates is our website. www.ljfishtale.com Thank you very much!
There's a large picnic area outside the restaurant with a kid's carousel and ice cream available. As far as I'm aware, well-behaved dogs on leash are welcome.
Depends on how allergic, they serve shellfish all day
It fluctuates with market price. Like most seafood places.
