I was seen here in 2019 and ended up using another office, not local for follow up appts. I came back today 8-8-22 because I needed to be seen for an urgent appt locally and I am so glad I did. The google reviews had me a little nervous to try it again but in my opinion, my experience improved. I left feeling better about my eyes and their health and treatment plan for them today.

April 2022 I had cataract surgery. I was very anxious but Dr. Sams and the attending nurses and staff were so kind and attentive. Dr. Sams followed up with a phone call that afternoon plus a nurse called the following day. The team who performed the pre op work of measuring my eyes were so cheerful and professional and answered all my questions. The followup appointments went very well. Once again the medical techs assisting Dr Sams with preliminary work were friendly, efficient and professional. I just love my new vision! It is awesome!

I had Cataract surgery today and had to post for the benefit of people thinking about having cataract surgery. I have been an RN for 30 + years and the level of attentiveness provided was impeccable. Dr. Patterson and his team performed at the highest degree I have ever seen. Hands down the very best place to have this procedure. I'm actually looking forward to correcting the other eye in a few weeks. GREAT JOB ATHENS EYE and THANKS.

They told me you can but it would be done in hospital instead of clinic. I'm doing the clinic
