This is NOT a Veteran's shelter!!! This is a halfway house for newly released felons form the GA Department of Corrections. There is the occasional veteran that is allowed to stay there, but they are charged over $800/month in rent, whereas the convicts' stay is paid for by the state of GA and your tax dollars. The management of the place is as corrupt as they come. The donations from the good people in the community do not get distributed to, or used for veterans. The place is an ugly sore in the community and does nothing but bring in undesirable and shady characters to the local community. The reason you see some of these nice reviews here, is because she pretty much requires it of those who stay there. Those who come into the place are vulnerable and impressionable, and will do whatever they are told for a bed to sleep in. And will keep their mouths shut about the realities of the place for fear of being thrown out.

My son, daughter-in-law and I want to put together Christmas bags with warm scarfs, caps, socks and toiletries to donate. Can you give me some kind of an idea of how many people you serve during the Christmas week? Thanks for your help.
