Driving 614 miles one way for spinal fusion may seem strange but I'm so glad I did! Dr. John Cuff started the process with his empathetic, kind, and informative calls. Without him, I'd have been in trouble. And, he solved a postop problem after hours easily. Dr. Viren Vasudeva worked a miracle in my mind. Due to his special talents, I walked out of the hospital a couple of hours after surgery and only had a few days of discomfort. He was very thorough explaining everything during preop and at postop appointments. I had to drive back those 614 miles but he put my mind at ease about it and reassured me I would be ok. And, I am! Both doctors evidently have instilled their caring natures to all the staff at their practice because everyone I came in contact with there showed true professionalism while being so caring and friendly. Having had back problems for many years and now having this one solved, I highly recommend Georgia Neurological Surgery & Comprehensive Spine. Dr. Cuff, and Dr. Vasudeva, and their staff!

I had back surgery with Dr. Cuff. This was the worst experience of my life. Had I known that I would be own my own I wouldn’t have had the surgery. Left the hospital with no help ( medical equipment, no in home care, staff support etc…) they basically cut me open, sent me home to figure out what to do on my own. I was told that I was suppose to call to set up for home bound care myself after surgery and set up the equipment to be delivered even my own physical therapy. It’s been almost 4 months and I still haven’t seen the Dr. for post surgical. I had fallen because I had no help at home. I’m still in so much pain. They have called and canceled my appointment 2 times this week. I don’t feel this Dr. or his staff care about what happens to me. The nurse I spoke to today just said you canceled several appointments ( mind you I had surgery and lots of pain and couldn’t drive the first month or so) and your 90 days post op. So you get nothing for pain and the Dr. doesn’t see any reason your in pain so….. your just SOL. Made me feel like I was just after meds. when all I want is for them to have fixed the problem and stop the pain. Not only did that not happen but I’m in more pain than when I came to see him. Where only one hip was burning and throbbing in pain now I have both hips screaming in pain. I can’t even stand long enough to go to the grocery store. It’s not normal to still be in this much pain. This office has made it clear that they just don’t care. I’m trying to get another opinion or at least a Dr. that has time to treat me. Asking for a referral was met with “I don’t know what to tell you.” I’ve had spinal surgery before and this is by far the worst experience with any Dr. I have ever had. I would not recommend this office for there lack of care, surgical follow up, their willingness to help control the pain, they made me feel like I was making it up. I went here so he could make me better. So I could have some quality of life. Now all I’m able to do is sit or lay down to relive the overwhelming pressure and pain that standing for just a short while causes. If I don’t sit I will fall to the floor. Which has happened 5 or 6 times.I would have never imagined this experience ending so bad.

Relief from surgery was minimal if at all, even after Doctor Barnes soliciting it as an almost guaranteed improvement. Getting in contact with surgeons or PAs is extremely difficult. On top of that, they want to refuse service to anyone not wearing a mask at this point.....while their own staff sits at the front desk with no masks on. I would refuse service from this office in the future even if the surgery was offered free of charge.
