It's sad that they have people sitting outside while there's plenty of seating inside, I can't imagine how many heat casualties they've had Especially with senior citizens And disabled people having to sit outside and wait. I believe it might be time to start calling are Congressman

I've been trying to contact them for months. And whenever I do finally talk to someone Mrs. Barnes is apparently so busy that she can't even call me back. I even requested an appointment time and they didn't give me one. I dont know how this place works, but Minneapolis was much easier to work with when I lived in Minnesota. And I was on disability for being deaf, but they changed it to supplemental income once I moved here.

The phone number for this office has been down for over a week. The line rings busy and there is a notice on the website that the phones are down. There is no other way to contact them and no way to set up an appoint. When you are dealing with a death in the family and trying to figure things out it is a real problem to not be able to reach the office for questions, especially when they send out letters that you have concerns about. It is borderline fraudlent for tax payer dollars to be going to an office that is inaccesible to the public. This is very concerning!

I have in Cookville
Death certificate
For my understanding you can call them with all your new bank information.
Your social security information and I would have their birth certificate with you too.
Yes you can
Depends on what you made, how long you worked.. things like that
The office has been closed for the past 1-1/2 years due to covid-19. There is a security guard there you could ask him for more information. You may have to go on-line or mail in your change request.
Only if she is changing her last name.
Yes check guidelines for how much you can earn
No not until 65
Yes they are scared to let anyone in
Call the office if they are not available in person.. They will answer the phone and your questions.
They are still not seeing visitors ins person without and appointment. But they should be able to send you whatever applications you may need.
Go online and fill out the form required, and mail along with any documentation needed to your local office since they are still closed due to Covid.
I need a ss card replacement. What do I do
Due to the COVID-19 PANDEMIC, people who work at the SSA office in my hometown have been working from their homes. Which means that any documents (such as verification letters and all proof requirements,) must be mailed in, opposed to hand delivering them in person. You'll need documentation ofthe reason for name change. (E.g. marriage certificate, final decree of divorce, adoption papers. Originals only. No copies,. Call your local office to confirm you have everything you need bgrf
You can apply for disability but you don't need an appointment you can just show up as long as they are open
The doors are locked so you could try online other than that go thru the mail. Ssa.Gov
It's open.
It should not change what ever you make is what you should make anyway
I don't know. It depends on what kind of payment. Best to call them.

No.. Every person has the right to file. They just need to answer all questions truthfully.
Far as I know you just have to call, of anything else needs to be done, they will help you with what needs to be done over the phone
Probably a birth cert for him and guardianship papers and your ID if you are his guardian.
60, unless you're on disability then its 50+. Also, not remarried before age 60.
Depends on what you want to do. Not usually but they will set an appt for you if needed and tell you what documents to bring for that appt.

I'm in the same situation. All you have to do is transfer your case to the state your in. Or you can travel back to the original state it is appeal at if you don't want to transfer. You will not loose your time served if you transfer during the proceedings.
