I'm the summertime and springtime, nice station. In the wintertime, while waiting for an Amtrak train here, I thought I was tired. Then I realized that's how a person feels before they freeze to death. Build more shelters instead of one with 3 seats.

It is just a shelter. Do not get there early as you will freeze. There is an automated ticket vending machine. You cannot walk to anywhere. Unless you park the car there, we cannot go anywhere.

I believe you need to find the Hartford/Springfield line out of NY. Or switch trains to that line in New Heaven CT to that line. Not a lot of trains that direction this time of night.
There's parking lot that is pretty vacant... I'm not sure what Amtrak's policy on overnight parking would be.
