Easy pickup and return at Hartford airport, car only had 6500 miles on it, clean, ran perfect! I use National all the time and consistently get good service.

The new location now added to the terminal was a challenge to figure out. One couple had a taxi cab driving around for 30 minutes to figure out how to get in. If you are a local and want to rent a car there is a spot for the person dropping you off to park inside the terminal. To pick up a car rental if you have one some one dropping you off you have to go the Car Rental Return entrance. It's a breeze to access if you are deplaning but not if you are not flying. National did say they are working with the DOT on signage. We did pay for a Premium SUV and as usual the choice was pretty bad. We grabbed an Infinity that had almost 40K miles, the only other choice was an Audi and Q3 with over $50K miles and that was it. The service light was on the entire trip and tire pressure indicator showed each tire had pressures totally screwy. Not happy ever with the limited selection. Have to rent again end of October and hope it will be better.

National has the best cars for the money. Rentalbfacility at Bradley airport is new, cars are not.

They do. The rental center isn't close to the terminal. Safe flight 🙂
They remain open until the final flight at Bradley, and open again at 4:00am for business.
It's about 1.5 miles up the road from the airport. The road it's on is called Schoephoester.
They stay open until the last flight comes in. I had a flight delayed until 3am one morning and they were still there, I talked to them when I arrived and they said there are many nights when they don't close. As long as you have a reservation, you'll be fine!
Uber, taxi, bus. Or consider renting from enterprise- they will pick you up.
My experiences with National have been great at every location. They go out of their way to accommodate my special needs.
