I will be forever grateful for my experience with Retreat. My two counselors Ron Hurt and Gordy were the two men I'll never forget. They equally helped me to become a better man. And set in motion where I am now. I'm looking forward to seeing them again. At a gathering for alumni or at a meeting there. My name is Edward Muha and I'm a very proud member of the Retreat family.

There are not enough words to express how greatful I am to be a Retreat alumni. This facility has truly empowered me to not only get ahold of my addiction but to set me up for a successful sober life moving forward. The inpatient staff was tremendous. I wish I could remember the names of all the techs but two standouts were Willy and Jeff who went above and beyond to provide a comfortable stay. I had Charity as a counselor and she was extremely helpful. She arranged zoom meetings with my mother and was able to build the foundation of mending our relationship. Ron is truly a special human being as well. He imparted so much wisdom onto me and is one of the most loving and compassionate people I have ever met. Inpatient was able to give me tools to live a sober life and I was able to continue my care with Retreat's outpatient program. This is where I learned how to manage my recovery in the real world and implement the tools I have learned. Heather is incredible at making connections with her clients. She truly goes above and beyond to make sure you are on the right path by providing resources and compassion. I had the privilege of having Natasha as a counselor as well. She truly cares about her patients and their wellbeing. She is always ready with sound advice or solutions to any issue you may come across. Lastly, there is Gordy who is head of the alumni program. He has such an ability to bring people together. This was huge for building the amazing fellowship that I've had the privilege to become apart of with other alumni. He organizes get togethers from fairs, to hikes, to habitat for humanity. There are also two weekly zoom meetings that he organizes to keep in touch with fellow alumni. He is always reaching out to simply say hello and stay in touch. I can't say enough about my experience with retreat. I am six months into recovery but I truly feel that I was provided with the tools to make it last a lifetime. But that is all up to me and I now have the confidence to pursue it.

As a prior patient, here to tell you that my experience was great. I’m working on 7 months clean with no compunction about returning to my old ways. I would recommend to anyone looking for a new way of life. The staff from top to bottom were great. Especially Gordy, Pastor Ron, Heather and everyone else working there! Helpful, caring, involved, can’t say enough!!!! Love u all!!!!

I am not bragging when I say that this place’s community service is not just A- 1*, but better than even that for the wonderment of allowing people who have been down for a while to get back up and shine!!! I love that I can go here and say anything about myself and I’m safe!
