I provided all the information they required. Cheryl claimed my vet saw my cats only when they were sick and that because my cat who was on thyroid medication for over 1 ½ years died (he was approaching his 21st birthday. I had him since he was 2 months old.) there was a problem Cheryl said my vet had not treated 2 of the cats I mentioned but I explained that he saw them prior to him opening his own hospital in Sandy Hook. Rather than rechecking, she decided that she did not “feel comfortable: giving me a cat!!!” I decided that this was very weird and decided to file a complaint with the state. I requested info regarding her 501ce and have yet to hear back from her. Beware!! Something is very odd with these people. No wonder there are so many homeless kitties!

In early summer I had the pleasure of working with GNHCP to rescue an abandoned cat that showed up in our yard. After a few days of letting the cat be, thinking it was someone’s and noticing it isn’t leaving the one area, nothing to eat or drink, our concern grew more and more. I called every shelter I could, pet stores, rescues asking for help or advice, many people recommended leaving it, others recommended contacts that turned into dead ends and a few recommended GNHCP. Once I contacted them and informed them of the situation they helped by coming and rescuing the cat which was very dehydrated at the point. After multiple attempts down other avenues GNHCP was the only one that came through..it’s very discouraging when you call cat rescues and get told they can’t help but thankfully that wasn’t the case with GNHCP. Very happy with their help, great communication back and forth, and they came when they said they will. Thank you again for your help.

Omg, they saved my kitty, thought I was gonna have to get rid of her but they helped me get her fixed and shots and all, now she is happy and I was still able to pay rent and my kitty, so thankful!!

Very rude ,nasty people who run this organization. They are very bossy, try to take charge, and obnoxious. Please dont deal with this organization, give your donations to someplace else. Please dont deal with this place!!!!!!

We do not have a cat named Henry at the center. Maybe you are thinking of another organization?
The Greater New Haven Cat Project is NOT a shelter. They do not take people's pets they wish to surrender. What they do offer is a low cost spay/neuter service to help control the cat overpopulation problem in the area. Please call them if you want to work with them to get your cat done
He is about 11weeks old
