I am not a representative of the credit union, so I cannot speak for them. I don't remember seeing anything at the bank about this kind of credit card. They do offer a debit card that has a Visa or Mastercard logo, so you can use it to purchase things like a credit card. If I were trying to establish credit, having a checking AND savings account with a credit union is the first move I would make. First Citizens didn't impress me as being much like a traditional credit union though. When I had an account there, I got the impression that all the decisions were made elsewhere like big banks do. You might be better off going to a local credit union such as St. Anne Credit Union or New Bedford Credit Union. With both of those, loan decisions are made inside the bank. You have the opportunity to meet directly with a loan officer who can make lending decisions based on your personal situation; not just type the application into a computer for someone else to decide.
Not that I have seen. This is a bank. It's possible that the bank has sponsored a food distribution at this address. However, I do not remember ever seeing it.
