Poor! Management wasn't happy we came, waited over an hour for food, kept telling us they were out of things, didn't take anything off the bill and even over charged one person in our party. The waitress was the ONLY pleasant person in the entire place!

We had a very distressing incident occur this evening at the Miller Lane location. My sister and I went at approximately 530 and were seated promptly. The server took our orders with no issue. A clergy member who's acquainted with my sister stopped by our table and as they chatted, our server approached with our food. Then everything went downhill from there. The server-who wore a nose ring-very rudely said "excuse me" to the pastor, who is a little old lady. The server then loudly asked who got the dumplings. I looked at the platters and saw that the Sawmill gravy was orange-not the off white color we're accustomed to-so I asked why it was orange. The server loudly asked again "who had the dumplings?" I was dumbfounded by the gravy appearance, so I asked about it again. Then the server yelled, asking about the dumplings (which was part of my sister's order). She literally had the plate 2 inches from my face. I motioned to my sister and she sat both platters down. I asked again why the gravy was orange she she said that's the way its made. I'd previously asked for extra gravy on the side, but it was not brought out. As the server walked away, after raising her voice several times, I called out to her, asking about my side order of gravy. She didn't even turn around, she hollered over her shoulder that she'd bring it out. She had an attitude that was unbelievably nasty and uncalled for. She brought the extra gravy out-and it was the correct off white color. Our food was terrible! My sister's beans appeared to be dried out, the corn muffins were burnt black, and when she brought our drinks, she had her bare hands around the rim of the glasses. We were taken aback at how we'd been spoken to. I immediately called the restaurant from my seat and requested a manager come to our table. After a few minutes when no manager had come, I went to the retail area and requested a manager. I was advised by the Retail manager that she'd sent "Dan" back to see us. I went back to the table and a man came to our table and asked if we were the ones who called. I said yes and said that our server needed to be smacked out the window. I DID NOT-at ANY TIME-say that i would do so. The manager said im gonna stop you right there, i won't allow you to threaten my employees. When I tried to explain that i didn't say I would smack her-but that id stated she needed to be smacked out the window, the manager threatened to put us out of the restaurant if i threatened his employee. My sister and i were in disbelief, and could only look at each other. He offered twice to get a different server, but after being threatened for something that was neither said nor done, we lost our collective appetites and walked out. On a side note, the manager asked what was going on when he first arrived, my sister asked if he'd talked to the server. He claimed he had not. But, my sister clearly saw him talking with her just inside the kitchen entrance. I'm still in shock over this. I came to take my sister out for a nice meal on my retirement income, and went through this. Do better!
