Typical waterpark. It's loud, it's busy, but the park is clean, staff watch for problems, it's organized. The temp is perfect, lots of places to sit. Lockers are available for a moderate price. Food is pricey, but standard for destination food fare. The towels are plentiful. Attached arcade is typical and clean, fun for all ages. Lazy river is fun, as is mat racer. Kids area is safe, and large. Teens will like the larger slides. Change rooms are messy and I blame both staff and customers, a little effort from both would improve the cleanliness, mostly damp towels strewn about. Price is what it is, a park cost money in labor, utilities, so it's expensive. We appreciate that, unlike great wolf lodge, day passes are available to all. Disregard the poor reviews from March break, u get large crowd's on spring break, even at a dollar store, get over it and plan to wait. If you are within 2-3 hours of this place, it's worth the trip.

Great time for all!!! They have an area for little kids that don't want to or aren't ready for deeper water. Like a splash park with all kinds of stuff to play on. They have five large and really fast slides, two medium sized slides and one small slide. They have a pool with basketball nets. A couple other things to play on in the pool as well. There's one of those simulated waves you can surf on. A good sized arcade. A snack bar that sells adult beverages.

Everyone was friendly and helpful. Midweek wasn't the least crowded and the price wasn't extravagant either. Great section for smaller kids, with fountains and shallow pools to splash in. Lots for the big kids too. Four bigger slides, the surfing wave and a nice arcade.

Prices stated on the website are $10 more per person, every inch of the place is a rip off from $26 dollar pizza to $6-10 for a locker. Stay away from this milking operation, folks. Complete disregard for safety by barely teenage staff.

yes, you are able to get day and half day passes for $33 for an adult and $27 for a kid (non houseguest). And for a houseguest a adult would be $29 and a kid $24 and those were for day and half day passes.
I can confirm this is the case. We visited yesterday and had a blast.
The arcade is free to access to anyone. You can purchase credits to use in the games when you arrive! :)
Hi Melissa! Yes, Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands both have outdoor heated pools and hot tubs. If you are staying on property you will have access. Avalanche Bay is located at Boyne Mountain, thus if you are staying at the Mountain in our Clocktower or Mountain Grand Lodges, you will have access to those heated pool facilities!
Hi Brad! We no longer sell one holistic package for both ski & splash - BUT you can absolutely do that! I would recommend booking a ski package and then adding on evening passes at the waterpark! The best way to save on your waterpark tickets is to buy them at least 21+ days in advance as that will save 25%. Here is a link to our upcoming ski package deals: https://www.boynemountain.com/packages-and-deals/plan-your-ski-trip Here is a link for our waterpark deals calendar: https://buy.avalanchebay.com/ecomm/shop/calendar/8720429/?productcategoryid=1029
I'm pretty sure there's a label on the ski pass that says only for only one slope activities but if you already have a water park pass and you don't have it with you could show that to the desk employee they can easily search you up but you have to pay money on Friday and Saturday with the pass.
The waterpark is open until 8PM. However the resort has activities all evening long, including fireworks and a torchlight parade at 9:30PM.
Yes! We will be open 11AM-8PM on New Year's Eve. Here's a link to our full hours of operation: https://www.avalanchebay.com/hours-of-operation
We will be re-opening on June 4! Day Passes for summer will be available for summer advanced purchase by Friday, 4/9.
Sadly Avalanche Bay Indoor Waterpark is still closed. Based on the emergency order issued by the MDHHS n March 2, 2021, waterpark attractions must remain closed until April 20, 2021 in an effort to curb the rising rate of COVID-19 infections in our state. Our current plan to re-open on April 23, 2021 is dependent on the extension of this current order.
If you book on a Splash & Stay package, your waterpark access is included. If you book lodging only, then you can purchase passes for the sessions of your choosing. Thanks!
No , l paid with my card. The prize is 12 $
Hi Kailey! Our day pass prices vary by date! Generally our passes for anyone over age 12 range from $25 - $47. The further in advance you purchase your passes, the cheaper they are! Here's a link to the online shopping calendar so you can look at your preferred dates! https://buy.avalanchebay.com/ecomm/shop/calendar/8720429/?productcategoryid=1029
The evening pass begins at 4pm and the walk-up rate is $40 each. However if you buy your pass online at least 21 days in advance you save 25% which means you'll only pay $30 each! Buy soon and SAVE! :) https://buy.avalanchebay.com/ecomm/shop/calendar/8720429/?productcategoryid=1029&nck=8337698017
I would call. Rates vary depending on weekend/weekday. If suggest giving them a call to get a proper quote. Honestly, I would buy the park passes for $36 each, and then stay at a super 8 or something. The rooms are beautiful, but I paid $600 for 2 nights (2 adults 2 children). Would go the day pass route if I do it again.
We do have flotation devices available for your usage. You are also allowed to bring any Coast Guard approve life vest!
Rooms vary by your room type and the date of arrival. Feel free to shop our hotels and rates here: https://www.avalanchebay.com/lodging

It is a direct route up 131, and take approx 2 hrs 50 min
Yes! We have 2 stores on property that sell swim suits for all ages! One shop is located inside out Mountain Grand Lodge, and this store has our largest selection of swim apparel. We also have a smaller shop inside the waterpark which also has a variety of swim suits, goggle, shoes and more!
There is a couple of stores on the complex that sell swimsuits. Going to be pricey
Yes, chlorinated. But not so bad it's hard to breathe!
We have a hotel connected directly to the park, so while we do not have poolside rooms, we do have direct access from the waterpark to the hotel which means you never need to go outside! 😍
I'm not sure exactly what your question is. The rooms are through Boyne Mountain. The waterpark passes are purchased separate. The waterpark is on the grounds and right next to the hotel.
It's a great place to stay!! Kind of expensive, but loads of fun!
I dont work there but my guess is it is due to be it being "off season" so number of staff is decreased. Personally I find if a business has a twitter account they respond more timely so if they dont answer you here i would try that route. Good luck!
It's open year round, and as for the hours, you can vheck the website. 😊
They provide towels. Lockers you have to rent. We went in February and just put our belongings on a lounge chair. Didn't have any problems
Yes
Yes ma'am.. gotta be new 1s tho.. or looking New
We stayed in my girlfriend's father's time share and had to pay for the waterpark. Pricy too. Like 40 for the whole day and 20 for half day.
$40+ depending how long you plan to stay. Half days are cheaper, but it isnt a cheap day of fun, but more often than not, worth the price!
yes, you are able to get day and half day passes for $33 for an adult and $27 for a kid (non houseguest). And for a houseguest a adult would be $29 and a kid $24 and those were for day and half day passes.
