Not recommended. Stayed here for several days with my family and another family in two different rooms. Great location and the rooms were comfortable, but the attitude towards security is unacceptable. Our door didn’t close properly so we had to be careful to pull it shut, which in and of itself wasn’t a big deal. What was a big deal was coming back after a full day away to find someone had PROPPED BOTH DOORS OPEN with the swing lock, so both rooms had been fully open the whole day to anyone who wanted to go in. When we spoke to someone at the front desk, the response implied that we had done it ourselves (!), and if anything was lost / stolen it was “not a big deal” because we could just file with our insurance. I’ve stayed in a lot of places and never experienced that.

We overall enjoyed our stay and got what we were looking for in a beach front hotel with a family suite. I liked that the continental breakfast was delivered to the room. But the door separating the living space from the rooms was almost unusable. The bathrooms could really use an update. And it would be nice for the patio furniture to be cleaned regularly. Also had a really strange experience with their housekeeping and whether they could come in the room to help change linens or forcing themselves in when asked to not disturb. Will try another location next time.

Absolutely beautiful. Looks better than the pictures. The view it breathtaking. I was able to sleep with the doorwall open (it has a screen as well ) and fell asleep to the sound of the water. Highly recommend. They serve you breakfast to your room too.

The first time I stayed here was 10 years ago and the customer service was hands down the best I had ever received at a hotel (and I stay at hotels quite a bit). The whole staff went above and beyond, so this time around my friend and I said for our commemorative trip to celebrate 10 years of friendship we would stay there again, and we were not disappointed. I loved being able to text the front desk, and housekeeping was great at checking in with us each morning to see if we needed anything. The front desk staff was great and the beach was clean. Our room was very clean as well and they have the best pillows! I miss being able to sit and eat breakfast in the breakfast room but the boxed delivered breakfasts for each day were not bad, I would just suggest rotating fruits or juices since we both got a banana and an orange juice every day. Overall great stay and I will be back again.

I always call to confirm a first floor Beach room. You want to call 6 months ahead of time if you want a room between June and late August. I actually book next year's room when im checking out the first week of August.

I honestly don't think they care. They were friendly to everyone I saw.

When comparing the Grand beach resort and the Sugar beach resort, the pictures are the same. Are these sister resorts? Which resort has the pool on-site? And which resort has the breakfast on-site?

It's about a 10 - 15 drive from the hotel. The whole lower level is full of shops and galleries. I don't know about it being haunted but it's a really neat place to check out. There's an amazing restaurant on the grounds called Spanglish. There's also a great little brewery and a winery.
