Not far from Traverse City but quite secluded this beautiful state forest campground sits at the edge of this peaceful sprawling lake. We had an amazing view at our campsite that overlooked the lake.

Primatve camping, pump water, very small beach area, boat lunch nearby. Loon calls on lake welcomed us and made me smile. Several sites have steps to access, sometimes a challenge but totally worth it!

Dead quiet unless you consider the Loons, Swan, and huge variety of other birds enjoying Arbutus Lake. The campground hadn't been cleaned up for the season yet but was still in pretty good shape. A good selection of rustic campsites, some walk-in access only.

Nope, it's a rustic campground, pit toilets, hand pump for water. It is on a nice lake
