Disclaimer: we didn't actually camp here, though it seemed like a nice, quiet place to go for that. We parked nearby and took the trail out to the Au Sable Light Station, and spent a little time where the Hurricane River flows into Superior, as well. We saw people parked in the lot right off H-58, and assumed that was the place to go. There's actually another lot closer to the campground that would've saved us a handful of steps. The trail out to the Light Station is wide enough for a car and covered with chipped rocks, and also fairly flat; even though it's about 1.5 miles from the campground to the Station, it's not an awful walk. The river also seemed like an enjoyable place for kids to play in the water.

I was very lucky to get a camping spot online and I was very happy with the campground. Clean. Easy to find. Very quiet. Short walk to the beach. Definitely will come back again maybe stay at lower campground. Great walk to the Au Sable light house. Highly recommend.

This was such a nice campground to stay at. It was clean, quiet, isolated, and the beach (and river flowing into it) were beautiful. You can also walk to a nearby lighthouse and I’d highly recommend you do. It made for a great sunset destination.

No, they don't have electric or water hookups...just natural beauty! Generators are not allowed either.
Pets are allowed in certain areas of Pictured Rocks but must be on a leash. For more information here's a link to the park. nps.gov/piro/index.htm
Yes! Total combined length of trailer & truck allowed is 42 feet
No. But you can go into Grand Marais to the campground and use the shower. I heard it's only 50 cents.
The Tahquamenon Fall is approximately 2 hrs away from there. Check the paper map for the route. It's hard to get network coverage in that area.
