This is a wonderful place that is notches above its competitors. What sets it apart from other tutoring places is the enthusiasm of instructors and the owner who are passionate and motivated to instill the love for math in kids. my kids love going and sometimes ask to go. the staff is caring and compassionate and the kids love to learn which makes it such a wonderful place.

Our kids enjoy going to Mathnasium. From their perspective, they like the teachers and the fun incentives with respect to earning cards for prizes. Additionally, as compared to other programs like Kumon, the fact that there is no take-home work makes the experience that much more enjoyable.From a parent's point of view, we are extremely happy with the progress and pace that our kids have kept at school. We feel confident that they would not be performing as highly if it weren't for the supplemental work they benefit from at Mathnasium.Highly recommend Alan and his team at the Roslyn location!

My daughter loves Mathnasium. She would go everyday if she could. She is in 1st grade and grasping math concepts so quickly it's quite impressive. The teachers here are so kind and patient and make math fun for her.

We want to see students at least twice a week for at least an hour, so we have the time to help students fill in their gaps, master new skills, as well as help with any schoolwork that they need our assistance with. Because it's a monthly program, parents are welcome to schedule extra days and times for their chld, if needed, at no additional cost.
Yes, We realize children struggling with homework is one of the main reasons parents call us or look for a tutor. What we find most of the time is that there are key skills missing that are preventing your child from understanding or completing their homework assignments. This is why it's imperative that we begin with a skills assessment so we have a better idea about what the issues are. Yes! We have a great enrichment program for advanced students! We start with a skills assessment and then map out a plan to help you reach your goals! The assessment is FREE so let's start there.
Yes! Each student gets a custom learning plan designed for them and gets 1 on 1 time with a trained instructor to explain the concept. The Instructor disengages to give your child the time to process without the pressure of someone staring at them. Kids can develop a "learned dependency" if the instructor stays in front of them the whole time they are practicing the skills. They watch the instructors face and body language to see if they are going in the right direction or not and don't really learn it. They don't become confident in themselves. We circle back to your child and ask them how they did the problems and discuss it. This allows them to articulate the concept. This is where the magic happens!! When they learn that they can master complex skills, their confidence soars and they try things they never would have tried before. Our method has gotten incredible result for thousands of students.
