I have been to many hostels and this was my first bad experience. Terrible attention in general, the room had a bed that made a lot of noise and moved that you didn't know if it was going to fall, I went to ask for a change of pillow because it was literally a sheet of paper and in a very bad way they told me no, one day I asked for a knife to cut a fruit and also in a bad way that no. Not the slightest gesture of predisposition. I arrived and check in took forever because the receptionist didn't know how to do it, not to mention the security person who greeted us who yelled at us because we didn't hold the door. It is very expensive what they charge for the hostel that it is. I do not recommend it at all

Worst hospitality ever. Bad reception at check in, no one is willing to help you. Bathrooms are dirty all the time, wet, full of hairs in the floor. Not worth the price.

Cannot beat the value in Manhattan. One step above a dorm, with a solo twin-bed room, and shows down the hall. Clean, safe but very basic. Room has a safe plus cable TV. You have Access to Gym and pool of YMCA. Location is fabulous, near Columbus Circle, so you can get anywhere by train. From EWR, LGA and JFK, ypu can get here in under an hour. 5 minutes walk to Lincoln Center and right near Central Park. 10-15 minutes walk to theatre district. Columbus Circle has a Whole Foods that is open late. Breads bakery right around the corner has great coffee and pastries/salads etc.

Good location... The rest is not good

Yes you are allowed to use the whole facility ie pool , classes etc. Check in is 230pm. But there is a luggage storage for a small fee. If you arrive early There's no place to eat dinner inside. I wod suggest using seamless. The places directly around the facility is pretty expensive but seamless, uber eats , grubhub etc will give you a better selection.
I never buy, but there is 24 hours a day, talk to the guys and they will tell you I do not think they have any problems, in the corner of columbus circus they put a parcel office that goes by and asks are amazon, is new, luck and good trip.
Not in the building, no
The hotel is open 24/7... but the gym has specific hours.....
When you stay, there is a $10 per day resort fee and that gives you access to the YMCA facilities. The pool closes a certain time, I think around 9pm (cant remember exactly, so you may want to check other answers here).
Its $115 per month. 15% Discount for DOE NYC employees.
I recommend it, it's totally safe, I never had problems
Ok
Yes, its like $2 a bag. It has to be picked up before midnight I think
I was also told no plans at this time, though I'm sure that could change.
I rented a room with a bunk bed which would be fine for two people
Hello-- that is no problem. Someone will be here to check you in then.
No it depends
I believe it won't be a problem if you can secure a credit card payment.
you can if u over 18
The price is per room, also once upon arrival you will also be charged an extra 10 dollars per night
Due to the pandemic they closed the cafeteria but if you can warm up in the baseman there is a kitchen
There's a bicycle rack right in front of the building
Call the Westside YMCA
YES, RECENTLY RENOVATED, NOW UPPER FLOORS HAVE PRIVATE BATHROOMS. PRICE NOT MUCH DIFFERENT.
YES, A SMALL FRIG. IF YOU RENT A SPECIFIC ROOM. PRICE NOT MUCH CHANGE.
because those who serve customers in general are rude and treat people badly
No
If they have. And they can be with individual or shared bathroom. Because of its location and proximity to iconic places, I recommend it.
No, I paid for my stay online
And of 3 and 4, it is very practical there is also with private bathroom
Yes, need I'd to stay at y
Wow awesome !! December in NYC is a dream, nd yes they give u towels ( they are in the room) but sadly they don't have fridge . You can ask if there r another option, YMCA for was very economic.
In the columbus center, down in the supermarket maybe
We are 4 people in quadroom so just pay $70 ?
I'm not sure but tge wifi is slow and can be spotty depending on where you are in the building
No. You can not stay for several months. That was the first question I asked at check-in.
There are no direct shuttles, on the other hand there are shuttles that can pass by the different hotels of the travelers or more simple a taxi (the prices are interesting if you travel to several times)
They dont offer shuttles. But a lot of pple use super shuttle or go link
Yes , wifi is free
But not in The room, in the holl, it's not very private , anyone who have a card can come in to
Hello, I did not find that option.
I think you can use cash and your cash plus her cash is total cash for rent of a room 😉
$10 a day, not that much. Check first though, as some bookings include these, some dont
The Westside YMCA does not have a kitchen for guests. There is a lounge with a cafe.
The YMCA is not permanent housing. It is a hostel which is similar to a dormitory. It is an inexpensive temporary residence (inexpensive compared to Midtown hotels) for travelers.
Hi Dan, thanks for reaching out. We offer a tour and complimentary guest pass if it's your first time at the facility. Day passes to use the facility are $25/day. Access to the facility is included in our guest room rentals if you're interested in staying at our YMCA!
Hi there! According to their website, The West Side YMCA will be open regular hours on Monday, January 15, from 5 AM - 11 PM. Group exercise classes will be running on a normal schedule. The Early Childhood Center, Child Watch and Teen Center are closed. Youth Sports and Aquatics classes are cancelled. Hope this helps.
It is east of Columbus Avenue; right off Central Park West.
You really need to Google West Side YMCA for that information.
