We had a wonderful time. Our docent was very knowledgeable and made the experience quite enjoyable. The house itself was beautiful. We highly recommend the tour.

I smelled lilacs upon entering the kitchen. It was so strong I thought it was an air freshener. I didn't mention it as I thought it was part of the "mysteries", or was it? Lovely home and fabulous interior.

Lovely beautifully restored Victorian era home with a haunted history. Small tours by appointment only.

This was a beautiful home tour. We also learned history of owners.

The first two story octagon house was built by Paul J. Armour in 1860, based on the designs of Orson Squire Fowler, who wrote: Octagon House: A Home For All. The dome, verandah and all exterior ornamentation was added by Joseph Stiner in 1872, working with a master builder. The architect is unknown.
Yes it is now open for tours, looks like until the end of March

Hello Daniel, thank you for asking! The Octagon House is still a private family home, therefore we kindly ask interested parties to view the house from the aqueduct or West Clinton Avenue.
The owner of the house gave the tour! It is definitely worth the money! He is so knowledgeable and charming.
No, it is a private residence. You can view the outside from the Aqueduct trail though.
