We visited this black owned establishment on Wednesday, July 20, 2022. I have heard around my community that this is a great place to eat! Prior to I called and left a message before opening time to set a reservation for 6 pm that evening. Not long after I received a text that my reservation was accepted. There is free parking in the plaza of the restaurant which is quite nice. Although it can get crowded due to the crowd demand for this business. Upon arrival we were warmly greeted by the owner who confirmed our reservation. The restaurant has a Mediterranean feel and reminded me of Greece with the blue and white theme. They even have a Mediterranean style fireplace inside which I’m sure they light during the colder months for an added comfort aesthetic. We were seated immediately at a nice table for two towards the back wall. I understood why they didn’t seat us in the middle due to those tables being for larger parties and I was grateful we didn’t get seated near the kitchen also. Our waitress came right over and introduced herself as MJ. She was very nice, professional, and knowledgeable on the menu. They had a specific menu for July 20, 2022 and also their set standard menu. The waitress informed us you can order from either or for the evening and all menu items were in stock. We ordered the following items: fried alligator, white sangria, swordfish au poivre with hashbrowns & French green beans, roasted half chicken with garlic mashed potatoes & French green beans, and the cinnamon spice cake. The sangria came out shortly and was lightly sweet and quite refreshing. The fried alligator came out right after which was crispy, had a nice breaded coating with the succulent meat, and the sweet Thai chili sauce was a great complement. The alligator was not rubbery and was easy to chew. Not long after our entrees came out. The waitress MJ constantly checked on us throughout our meal experience. They also had staff to take plates away from the table constantly. The swordfish patty was crisp and had a classic flaky texture on the inside. It was seasoned well and was a great experience for my first time having swordfish. The honey mustard cognac was a great complement for dipping the swordfish in. The hash brown reminded me of Waffle House hashbrowns except with the gooey cheese and peppers inside. The green beans were cooked pretty well and weren’t too crisp or too mushy. The portion sizes were pretty good also and I ended up having a to go plate. My boyfriend stated the baked chicken was crisp and the pan jus included made the chicken have a buttery savory taste. He stated this was the best baked chicken he’s ever had. He also enjoyed the French green beans and garlic mashed potatoes. I did use the restroom which was clean although a bit hot temperature wise. I assume this is because the women’s restroom is right by the kitchen. I can tell this is a popular place because there were so many people that filed in throughout the evening. The cinnamon spice cake dessert was very delicious. The cake was so moist, perfectly sweet, and rich. The vanilla bean icecream and homemade whipped cream was the perfect combination. The cake even had a nice toasted marshmallow on top which made it even more decadent. The waitress informed us that one of the employees there makes the cinnamon spice cake dessert themselves. This was an amazing experience and we greatly enjoyed the food and service. As we were leaving the owner noticed I was taking photos and asked if I was going to leave a review. I stated yes and it would be on Google. She proceeded to take our photo and stated she would post it on Instagram. They also have really lovely patio area with nice greenery outside and plenty of patio seating. It was too hot to sit outdoors, but it would be perfect for early fall. All of the staff seemed quite professional and service oriented. I felt the drive was a bit far being that it’s in Acworth, but it is definitely worth the drive. I highly recommend everyone in Atlanta try this black owned business and make the drive out to do so.

Such an excellent meal. Sophisticated atmosphere, exquisite food and large portions. My waiter, Manuel was so friendly, helpful and personable. I had the Trout Meuniere which was absolutely superb.

Love the food, service and decor. We had the fried alligator, fried green tomatoes, Cesar salad, and the bruschetta which were are amazingly delicious. Our main entrée's were the stuffed salmon with crab, trout, lobster tail, fried shrimp, fried Catfish all were exceptionally and seasoned to perfection. Hands down the best dining experience. We drove up from Chattanooga, Tn for the day to celebrate my two aunts birthdays who flew in from Chicago. Well worth the drive and flight...

Really enjoyed our dinner! Would have never found this place had we not been celebrating a friend's birthday. Black owned establishment but the crowd was a very diverse crowd which says alot about the vibe and the food. The food was great and the atmosphere was nice. Although, about an hour away from my home, I would go again.

Yes it could accommodate a pet
You're definitely going to need a reservation. I'm not an owner just a patron
This is a GOOD place, not excellent...in my humble, picky opinion. But its a heck of alot easier than going to the ATL Fish Market. Expensive, but always xdelicious. Fish Thyme is definitely worth a try. They might have exactly what you want. Check out the art...it is strange to me...all over the place. No seafood theme really. It was very busy, so reservations are a good idea.
Bud Light For Sure
They probably do, but it is not the most ideal environment for kiddos. Think white table cloth, intimate date night kind of atmosphere.
the staff all wear masks, and I have seen them sanitizing, disinfecting tables in between patrons. To the extent using ultraviolet light to detect anything the naked eye might miss. Well done!
No
It's a great casual spot, but it's more upscale than most local restaurants.
Yes, Alaskan Snow Crabs. Please Goggle the restaurant, and check out the menu.
I don't know that answer
They come w/ a side. Look up the menu online
Try after 5 when they're open. ☺
I agree with the "nice casual" folks. I wouldn't wear jeans or t-shirt. Khakis and a shirt with a collar. Love the place.
Fish Thyme will be closed Christmas Eve and Christmas. However they will reopen Wednesday, Dec. 27th.!!
