I gave it two stars only because the place is opened 24/7. Other than that, this place is no good at all. There's plenty of degenerates just lounging around there looking for trouble! The staff is very tough and rude due to the fact that they're dealing with street trash. Anyways, from there they'll send you to Manhattan to place in a shelter "befitting" for you.

I have been living in a tent around to the Bronx. Yeah, I'm that famous babe in Bronx Park East. Their outreach caseworker got me a bed here. If you are new homeless, they have chairs and tables people sleep in. The lights and TV is on all day and night and at the tables. The drop-in center is called the living room, the rooms with beds is called Safe Horizon.
There are beds, but a person must be referred by a street homeless outreach team to access them. To be eligible a person has to have lived on the street for a year or more.
This is for single people to go there but you could call 311

No good for pregnant and pregnant women Brent allowed there. You'd be referred to PATH. The family intake building. Its not a shelter its where you go to start the process For placement. As a pregnant woman you're now considered a family unit. Good Luck Mommy.
