Will be going to the Jackson Avenue office tomorrow. Hopefully, I'll receive the assistance that I need without having to pull teeth. Or enduring any unnecessary drama. Update: Sept.14, 2022 The Jackson Avenue office has given me a run around. People must be lined up in front of the building before 7:30 am. First come first served. Worker required me to provide certain docs that only my program director can provide, which in itself is a problem. They provide services mostly to a certain ethnic population, which is a major complaint among clients. It's always one hassle or requirement after another. Good luck if you're an American POC in need of services.

This report is for the lack of structure and organization. Starting of the center only accepts the first 10 people who walk through the door first. I arrived at 8:30 the doors open at 8:45 When you first arrive before are already spread around the entrance waiting outside. Not in a form of a line and there’s neither a ticket booth to already have your ticket in hand prior to entering. Regardless I was sent to the center by my mother when the door open I was the first one in because I was standing in-front of the door. When the guard “Ms.Guzman” goes to hand the paper #1 ticket a ladies states she’s number three and I explained that I didn’t mind about my placement in line. I’m aware I wasn’t the first but I was within the criteria of being within the 10 slots to have been treated with the manners Ms.Guzman did. She proceed to give tickets to everyone even the people I knew arrived after me and told me that’s what I get for placing myself in the front of the line to begin with. If the center really cared about a structure they would have a system lined up to avoid this from happening and there’s no one to listen to your concern as I went upstairs and was turned away for not having a ticket.

Proof of residence. Birth certificates. Social security cards. Proof of rental arrears or proof of why you need help. Rent breakdown/ ledger from landlord. Budget letter, HRA. Proof of income or where you get money from. Identification for adults on the case. (It's helpful to have access to your HRA account for when you actually see an intake person or case worker. Access is available through an app.) You need these things just to get a number to start the intake process. They see like 15 people a day on most days and I believe less people on Fridays. This is how it works at the one I go to on Jackson Ave, bx, ny.
Bronx works phone number is 718-993-8880 ext. 0 or ext. 261
I don't know I guess you have to call them
What is your question
That's homebase/bronxworks you will have to go there and it go by your zip code
Regular rent request cases (not in housing court) may take in excess of 45 days. If you received a 72 hours marshal's notice head to nearest job center and request for one shot deal if not on Public Assistance or an Exception To Policy if receiving help from city/state.
They are not just aiding Spanish people but African American people as well before you act wait before you react think before you spend earn before you pray forgive before you quit try
They are supposed to have the resources to help you. I found mine on my own thank god
It's basically your pre-voucher. It shows the amount of your voucher, your contribution if you have one and the incentives that comes along with the voucher, you can use the shopping letter to look for apartments!
BronxWorks doesn't handle housing applications. It may help you to obtain a monthly rent subsidy from the city or New York state depending on your eligibility and household's income. Contact New York City Housing Authority for the housing application .
Google Pro bono community offices for false housing evictions
If your in New York go to 630 Jackson Ave Bx, NY 2or5 train to Jackson Ave or google homeless Services downtown Manhattan on Fulton strret you must be there before 8am first come first serve.
I never been there but i walk passed it every morning i see people start lining up about 6am
How

Homebase is where he has to go but only if he has rent arrears and if he qualifies. He has to also make an appt and bring in the required documents
Your best bet is to call and ask them if they do weekends, or call 311 for other programs that will accommodate the hours that you are looking for.
