Budget Truck Rental

Would have given zero stars for unprofessionalism. Total rip off. There is nothing “ budget” about this. Filled my truck to full before returning, but was charged close to 100$ for gas. Extremely unprofessional, I was not even notified that the truck was returned, and charged me extra without any notification. I want to escalate and resolve this issue, please contact me.

Please Avoid this location! I made reservation 5 days ago for 12ft truck and stayed in hotel took Uber to location I went there Friday 9/10/2021 at 6:50am the moment she see me I saw some cargo van I asked why you guys don’t give me cargo van she said yes I am about to give you bc 12ft truck customer didn’t return the key she said. Ok know when She about to give me the truck I gave here my Expired DL and Renewed paper she said she want give to me. I was very frustrated bc I have both paper and Plastic dL she refused I said let me talk to your manager she was said something to him with Hispanic and replay the same thing to me. Know she told me I have to call corporate office I called they told her to give me the truck she still refuses me saying that is policy I was really upset finally I called U-Haul and paid double price left the location if I don’t get a truck I will sue this company! But I am lucky I got U Haul the worst, customer service mean employee I regretted I have gave a business to this company for the last 10 years. After know I will never use them again if you need truck go to Penske and Enterprise they charge little more but it worth it.

First, for anyone renting from here, there is no onsite parking so bring a friend to take your car or Uber up here. However, you could just use anywhere else. Also, prepare to wait in line for 30 min to 1h; they have one or two people and are also an AVIS, so LOTS of waiting I have never used Budget before this move but I have used their orange competition without nearly as much issue. I want to start by expressing how utterly scammed I felt going here. I know taxes and fees show up at any rental place, but I was quoted $60 plus or minus a few bucks. My total on return, with a full tank and coverage, was $121. Part of that was the 'mandatory commercial coverage' for $40 that I had no choice in. When I offered to use my insurance and take liability in the past, other places just have me sign a waiver and take it on the chin. This place, they demanded I call my insurance to make sure commercial vehicles were covered and to give them my policy number, all while I had people waiting to pack and move. Mind you, this is after an hour wait for my 10am pickup I scheduled days before. I just ate the $40 charge because I had no choice. Additionally, I rented a 12 foot truck, which hadn't been returned (not their fault) but instead upgraded me to a 16 foot "free of charge" even though they advertised them the same price anyway. Nevermind a 16' truck was too large to fit where I was packing, which is why I got the 12 in the first place. The parking lot was a nightmare and EVERYTHING had a fee or charge if you messed up ($9.89 a gallon and $35 fee if you didn't refuel to FULL, $10 drop off fee, etc) They warned me about a $210 hold on my account ahead of time and said once I returned the trick it would release and charge me the proper amount. It has been 2 days and I still have a $210 charge for a $60/$121 truck rental. This place is everything wrong with rentals. Use somewhere else for your own sanity; moving is stressful enough without this.
