Would be helpful if the website listed what could be accepted and what could not. For instance, can wood or Styrofoam be accepted?

New to area, been here 5 times, weekdays - early afternoon There's always at least one compactor closed There's always a line of 10 vehicles at least Compactors are always overloaded with garbage so much that bags are falling out of the loading hole while the workers sitting in the shade and don't at least come over and at least press the button, (I do it not a problem there) They get three stars because they do take a lot of different things so that's good, I'm just comparing them to other recycling centers I've been to. Each of the others are always clean, There's never much wait time and the machines are always working I'm not sure if the reason is because the previous recycling centers have been in areas with less population so I can't really say But the one in Weirsdale is always mint, The one in Orange springs & fort McCoy are also in really good shape all the time

We accept several types of batteries at our recycling centers. There may be specified locations for certain types of batteries, so please ask our attendant on duty for assistance. From our website, I have this information: - alkaline, lithium, and button batteries can be disposed of in your household garbage. - Accepted, and separated, batteries include lithium ion, small-sealed lead acid (SSLA), nickel-cadium, wet-cell lead acid, nickel metal hydride, portable power tool types, battery packs, automotive types, and old-style cell phone types. You'll find more information on accepted materials here: https://environmental.marionfl.org/solid-waste/customer-service/materials-accepted-at-recycling-centers

You need to bring old fencing to the Baseline Landfill. Cost is $45.00 a ton.
Per county ordinance, a resident can take up to two 90-gallon containers of household trash to any of the recycling centers per day. For larger daily quantities, residents must use the Baseline Landfill facility at the scale rate of $45 per ton.
Google the closest recycle center. Be aware of open days.

Yes, this location accepts up to five passenger tires per day from residents of unincorporated Marion County who pay the solid waste assessment on their annual property taxes. Other locations that accept passenger tires are: Canal, Dunnellon, Martel, Newton, and Scrambleton.

Hi, Jenny, plastic playhouses are not accepted at recycling centers and must be brought across the scale at our Baseline Landfill transfer station. For more information, please contact our office at 352-671-8465.
Hi, Mkay-This answer depends on the materials used to construct the bike. If it's metal, it may be disposed of at one of our 18 recycling centers. If the bike is constructed using plastic, then it will need to be disposed of at the Citizen's Convenience Center at Baseline Landfill, 5601 SE 66th St., Ocala, FL 34480. For more information, please contact our main office at 352-671-8465.
Hi, Justin, please feel free to contact our Human Resources staff at 352-438-2345 for more information on community service hours opportunities.
Might have to go to the Baseline Recycle Center, where the landfill is. I'm not sure Davis does those. Hopefully someone can chime in soon that knows better than I.

Yes! Marion County residents may dispose of up to five passenger-vehicle-type tires at any of our recycling centers. Have a great week!
No, Baseline Landfill. Pretty crazy how many things they don't accept at these recycling centers that are actually made from recyclable material but mattresses are one of the more understandable things. The compacting machines don't like them and cause big problems. Some of the things that this county/state would rather bury in the landfill instead of recycle is actually a disgusting shame but mattresses are actually a very useful item for the yard waste pick up crews that use the grappling claw. They bring them along when they pick up the yard waste at the recycling centers and use them after loading up. All the loose small yard debris like leaves that scatter everywhere are all swept up back into the pile by dragging a mattress along the cement with the grappling claw. It's very effective, but then it's also used to hold down the load and set the grapple on top of so it doesn't blow out everywhere while driving down the road. Also mattresses decompose pretty quickly in the elements.
Yes
You would have to go to the Marion County landfill off of Baseline
