Made a purchase from Guitar center Paramus, spoke with a rep named Dylan ( had a dark beard) Very impersonal and cared less about customers. He was on his cell phone for a good 10 mins while I was trying to make a purchase. I asked for a manager and found out that he was the manager. The store is very poorly run and seems to have a culture of reps who are unfriendly and arrogant to say the least. Not coming back to this location.

I would look at Epiphone or a Fender Squire Stratocaster. Also Ibanez has entry level guitar of very good quality.
Epiphone is a good solid brand at a cheap price. Model depends on preference.
