I was a patient here under a different name a few years ago I was there for about 2 years maybe a little longer. Except for a couple of nurses and a couple of the CNAs it was a horrible place horrible horrible horrible. I would not leave a cockroach in that place. They did nothing to help me the nurses complained when I needed help if you take your loved one here because you have no choice you better keep on it you better visit regularly and check on them. I would have given it zero stars but I didn't have that option

Actually, one star is too high. A family member, with dementia, has been resident for long time. Extremely difficult to speak directly to a director if there’s an issue. No one in family able to physically see patient since COVID-19 began. Yes, they were closed to outsiders for safety. While we watched the other facilities allow family to view loved ones through windows & interact with them- SUNBELT actually had security force us to leave premises saying it was unsafe. How can it be unsafe viewing someone through a window. That is zero chance of transmission of germs. What didn’t they want us to see that was going on? This person was taken to a hospital for several weeks and Access there was limited as well but, we were allowed to wear a mask and gown and go into the room to see him. After returning to Sun Belt never allowed to see him again. Given total runaround whenever attempting to find out his condition and has he slowly began to fade away there was even less information. Unfortunately, he has passed. Almost immediately we were being told we needed to get over there and pick up his”stuff” Because he had so much of it and they needed the room. Calling daily or more to accomplish this each time being told they still have not had time to get things together. Finally almost 2 weeks later, the belongings were picked up. His”stuff” turned out to be to unfilled cardboard boxes. In attempting to do the VA paperwork and other necessary things for the funeral home we were refused information when asking about the official time of death. Then finally told us for legal reasons they could not tell us and told us to call hospice care. Hospice was baffled because they were not there when he passed. This is been an extremely stressful time for the family because of lack of information and where we see other nursing homes assist them to talk on the phone or to look at iPads to connect we were not afforded that opportunity at Sun Belt. We were never given any Covid information anytime that we inquired and when other nursing homes allowed viewing through patients windows for family viewing sun belt insisted they had permission to remain closed completely from the governor. You are passed from one person to another when you call for information and callbacks are almost nonexistent. This was our first experience with a nursing home and it will be the last experience with Sun Belt. Surely they have to answer to someone

Do not take your loved one to this facility or any facility owned by Advent health. My mother has experienced their criminal neglect first hand. Save your loved ones life take them somewhere that cares for the elderly and doesn’t settle 18 million dollar Medicare fraud cases, hides behind a non profit tax free status and most importantly commits life threatening patient neglect ongoing.
