The rating is based on my visit on 9/17/22. I really was looking forward to the delicious chips & salsa that is served almost as soon as you sit down. Well, unfortunately, after I was told I could sit anywhere I chose in the bar area, no one ever came to my table either from behind the bar or elsewhere but my table was passed by several waitstaff. The young ladies behind the bar simply ignored me. One said something to another in Spanish and looked but never came or addressed me. I thought it was my imagination at first because I've eaten at this location previously & had no issues but I suppose it depends on whose working. I pulled out my phone after 5 mins or so to check the time. I decided to give them another 10 mins because I really wanted to eat there. No one came or acknowledged me still. I gathered my things & went to the hostess stand & asked for a manager. One happened to be there on a call. When she hung up, I explained to her how long I waited & rec'd no service or acknowledgement. She simply said, I'm sorry." No how can I make it better. I'll get someone to take your order, etc. Didn't offer one solution. Just simply didn't care but paying customers had better treat waitstaff with the utmost dignity & respect & certainly tip generously for often poor or mediocre service. In this case, no service at all.

So I know this sound petty, but when I call as a client in the USA it would be nice if understanding English is a priority. Second, If you have Uber Eats, DoorDash, etc. Then give people options to request changes. Not everyone wants what comes with the meal, take the time to either add options to the online menu or educate your staff to be polite and help clients alter there selections. I just canceled a $200 order cause your staff are enable to be courteous and help. Not to mention I have bragged to friends and family for months about your food. Not good.

This is the 2nd Uncle Julio's I've been to. I'm vegan, so I can't speak to their meat meals. But I really like their vegan fajitas. I'm from Southern CA, so I'm use to a different kind of Mexican food than the East Coast has. I've found Uncle Julio's to be the closest match that I've found here so far.

There's a large parking garage right across the street. There are almost 2,000 spots in the garage.
It smokes because its liquid nitrogen. It is not a smokey drink made with actual mesquite smoke as I've seen in some bars.
Everything is made from scratch and the ingredients are fresh. We got a type of warm salsa (I can't tell what it had) with the chips that was really good. They also make guacamole at your table so you can see how it's the process. I hope this helps.
I recommend that you do not carry out your event in that place, the service is terrible. I can recommend GUAPOS restaurant have the same type of food, delicious, service and attention without excellent If you want to live a bad experience go to uncle's July!
