We have been very pleased with the 24 hour care provided to my father by Brite Star Care of Fairfax. Our caregiving team of Jessica, Julmira, Nathalie and Hawanatu treat him with kindness and respect. I feel very comfortable leaving him in their care. Management has also been very responsive to any changes that have come up.

Everyone at Brightstar is incredibly caring, kind, and helpful. We have gone through a tough year with 2 elderly parents and simply could not recommend Brightstar enough. Hello, Glenda. Great question. A home care agency is licensed through Virginia's Health Department. A home care registry, or market place, has no regulatory oversight. Here are the questions to ask when you call a company to determine which type they are: 1. Are you licensed through Virginia's Department of Health? Home care agency will answer "yes," registry, "no." 2. Are the caregivers covered for liability insurance through your agency? Home care agency will answer "yes," Registry will answer "no". 3. Who develops the Plan of Care? Home care agency will answer, "Registered Nurse, as required by our license," Registry will answer, "office staff."
