Customer service hung up on me. I called the DC small claims customer service on September 9, 2022 at around 12:15 or 12:20pm, asking assistance with locating a case. The lady who spoke with me asked me if I had any questions, and I told her that I was still having trouble locating the case, and she proceeded to hang up on me. It’s appalling that certain people are getting paid to make navigating the judicial system even harder than it should be. I would like to speak with someone so that the individual who hung up on me is disciplined.

Unprofessional. No body in probate ever answers the phone. When you finally get a hold of someone, they have a blasé attitude like they don't want to work or know how to do their job effectively - and they don't even care.

Yes, but you can only recover up to $10,000 in smalls claims court. For more than that, you need to go to superior court across the street.
