I hadn’t been to church in years, and was in desperate need of a church home. The previous churches I attended cared solely about money, were judgmental, or simply boring. I was pleasantly surprised that Christ Chapel is the complete opposite of all those things. First off, the congregation is extremely diverse. It’s comprised of all races, ethnicities, ages and socioeconomic statuses. Upon arrival I was greeted by smiling faces and open arms. The sanctuary is very spacious. To keep us all safe every other pew is closed due to COVID (they also offer complementary mask). Before the sermon begins they do Praise & Worship. This was one of my favorite parts. I could feel Gods presence in the room and it brought me to tears. They have a full band with talented singers. The lyrics to the songs are projected onto large screens so that everyone can sing along. Pastor Bob is very personable. I truly enjoyed his sermon; it was understandable and relatable. His use of metaphors and analogies keeps you engaged. This really allows for the message to stick in your brain. His wife Pastor Wendy is hands down one of the kindest women I’ve ever met. I told her how I’m a new mom trying to make things work. And she took it upon herself to sign me up for the toy drive that they are doing for the community. She also gave me a whole bunch of food including a Turkey. After she gave me the bag of food she said “this is for you, so that you can give your son a special 1st thanksgiving”. I was so touched I could of cried again. It only took me one visit to decide if I was going to make Christ Chapel my new church home. Christ Chapel is a church that truly cares for their congregation and their community. I wholeheartedly recommend you check them out; you will not be disappointed
